This foray is part of the Nature Center 50th anniversary BioBlitz. We will be focusing on fungal biodiversity in the park.

How To BioBlitz

  1. Download the free iNaturalist app from Google Play or the App Store

  2. Come to Indian Creek Nature Center between 8AM and 8PM

  3. Check with staff to learn what area of the grounds is being ‘Blitzed’ that day, or wandering on your own is always welcome

  4. Record your observations using iNaturalist

  5. That’s it! You can observe as few, or as many, days as you’d like. Every observation helps to better inform future land management decisions.

Directions:
The Indian Creek Nature Center is located just south of Marion. From Hwy 13, exit at Mt. Vernon Rd and go west 1.5 miles. Turn left and go 0.7 miles south on Bertram Rd (sharp right turn after the one-lane bridge). Turn right and go 0.4 miles west on Otis Rd. Meet at the Nature Center on the right.
